Adopting observability isn't as simple as upgrading your monitoring tools. Successful observability adoption requires a fundamental paradigm shift that changes the way engineers think about production. Preparing for the many challenges ahead is critical for any organizations aiming to scale new practices across more than a handful of teams.
In this talk, I'll cover lessons learned at HelloFresh while observability adoption was driven across the entire organization by a central platform team. By attending this talk, you'll learn strategies for considering the needs of your audience, identifying relevant problems to solve, and framing communications with various stakeholders. We'll look at ways to cross the adoption chasm with helpful techniques like lowering barriers to entry and reducing developer friction.

Michael is a Platform Engineer at Honeycomb.io. Has worked with various public and private cloud providers over for the past 8 years.
