Observability improvements in mature applications can provide unique benefits; making hidden performance issues more obvious, illustrating dependencies between components, and allowing developers to more confidently work in a system that they may have had no part in building. At the same time, established patterns in the application may make observability improvements harder than they would be in a newer application, or in greenfield development. More than a few of us are dealing with these challenges; this session gives us a time & space for us all to compare notes and learn from our experiences.
